The Activity Center provides a new and quick way to earn Beex in Woozworld. There are a variety of different Activities available for you to start. Some require more time than others, some are unlocked by Preztige level and some cost Beex (as they say, you have to spend Beex to earn Beex!)

All you have to do is start an Activity and wait! Once the Activity is complete, you can claim your Beex reward.

Remember that you can only complete one Activity at a time. If you get tired of one, you can cancel it at any time – but you’ll have to sacrifice your Beex investment!

Welcome back to Wzw High, everyone! A new school year has begun, so it’s time to load up your backpack with books, try not to forget your new locker combination, and… solve a new mystery! Yup, school is never simple at Wzw High.

For example, did you know that last year, as we all scrambled to find out who had kidnapped GoodOldWooz, two would-be students joined us? It’s hard to believe, but Eva and FilWooz mingled with the crowds in Wzw High’s halls. I sure didn’t notice them, but a couple of influential students did.

Now that we know Eva & Fil’s true EVIL nature, it’s time we looked into their mysterious past. Where do they really come from? Who’s responsible for their scheming ways? Who are their parents?? I’m sure that the leaders of these cliques know more about Eva and Fil’s history than they’re willing to admit to a reporter like me. That’s why I need your help to solve this mystery!

Can you infiltrate each clique and learn secrets from its “Queen Bee”? Your job may not be easy, but it’s the only way to uncover the secrets of Eva & Fil’s past!

CLIQUE CASE FILES

The Preps: The most fashion-conscious students in the school are led by Arya Klyn, an aspiring designer. I’ve heard they spend a lot of time in Wzw High’s Fashion classroom, working and chatting with Lady Wooz.

The Athletes: Wzw High boasts some strong sports teams under the direction of Coach Shopz, but rumor has it that the true heart of the school’s athletics is Callie Ziegler, a tennis-and-soccer champion. The athletes spend long hours training in the Wzw High Gym.

The Dramz: Arts & theater kids tend to stick together, especially now during preparation for Wzw High’s latest musical production, “The Wizard of Oz,” starring clique leader Ava. Apparently she doesn’t use her last name because “someday I’ll be famous enough to only need one.”

The Smarties: They may spend their lunch break in the library, but the smarties know almost everything that goes on at Wzw High. It’s rumored that Natalie Zoom, the smarties’ leader, has read every single book in the library!

The Punks: This clique may be the toughest to crack… or just the toughest in general. They hang out in the school yard, under the watchful, black-rimmed eye of leader Emily Ember. Supposedly, Emily has dyed her hair every color of the rainbow over the course of her four years at Wzw High!

Halloween is in the air, and what better way to celebrate than with a good scare?

Get a team together to create the creepiest Haunted House in Woozworld, and you could win hosting duties for a special party on Friday, October 16th!

STEP 1: Form a team of 3 – 5 Woozens
– Your team must include at least one member with a Preztige level less than 30. (This is so you design experts can show new Woozens how it’s done!)

STEP 2: Build your Haunted House
– Each member of your team must own one of the Haunted House’s Unitz
– One room of the House must be a haunted bathroom, using the new Ouache bathroom line
– The rooms of the House must be connected by Door Podz or Linkz

STEP 3: Submit your Unitz
– Only one member of your team should enter their part of your Haunted House to the orange podz in the Haunted House Design Contest Unitz. (Remember, the other Unitz from your team should be linked to this one!)
– Include the names of the other members of your team, and tell us a bit about your concept when you submit!

Be sure to follow all the rules listed above, or your Haunted House may be disqualified. The contest submission period will close on Tuesday, October 13th. Over the next few days, Woozband members may visit well-designed Haunted Housez.

On Friday, October 16th, the Woozband will host a party in the winning Haunted House! All Unitz in the winning Haunted House will be added to the Featured section of the Woozworld Map, and remain Featured for the rest of October.

Everyone needs a good scary story in their back pocket. You never know when you’ll need to liven up a slumber party, camping trip, or night around the fireplace in an abandoned cabin in the middle of woods miles from help with a serial killer on the loose! (Well, maybe that last scenario doesn’t need more excitement… that’s your call.)

Think you’ve got a story that can wow the crowd – or scare our socks off? Submit your story to us in Woozworld’s WoozNewz HQ and you may see it featured in a future blog post!

For centuries, Vampires, Goblins, Franks and Mummies have disputed the Cortoza territory. Now, for the first time, you can become one of these ghouls – and transform others too! The ghoul clan that creates the most of its kind will be the only ones to live in Cortoza, while the others crumble to dust.

Visit one of the ghouls’ HQ Unitz in order to select your team. You can only join one team, so choose your ghoulish goal carefully!

Once you’ve joined, your face and hair will transform into the monster of your choice, and you’ll receive a SymbZ representing your team. Activate this SymbZ to transform any non-ghoulish Woozens in the Unitz! Infected Woozens will take on your team’s appearance until a rival monster activates their own SymbZ. The ghoul team that converts the most Woozens by Halloween will recieve a special prize!

ANTI-GHOUL?

Wear one of the protective Anti-Ghoul hairstyles available in Shopz in order to maintain a normal Woozen appearance. But beware! If you take the hairstyle off, you will be transformed.

Protective mask not good enough for you? Professor Preztige has medicine, available in limited quantity in the Woozworld Store, that protects against all ghoulish transformations. If you’ve taken this medicine, you can wear whatever you want, whenever and wherever you want. No ghoul will be able to transform you.

Summer is the season for fun, sun, and relaxation, but fall is the time for fashion. Light coats, boots, cute sweaters, scarves… There’s just so many clothing options to explore! That’s why we’re calling on you fashionable and adventurous Woozens to do what you do best, and send us outfit designs featuring your latest style obsessions.

Is your mind overflowing with fall fashion already? Be sure to read the contest rules before you begin!

DO:
– Download one of these required templates and either print it out and draw on it OR use an image editing program on your computer
– Create a fashion-forward, fresh fall design
– Feel free to give your outfit a creative name to convey the concept behind your design
– Sign your design with your Woozen name
– Respect the Woozworld Code of Conduct
– Enter your design in the Woozworld Plaza using the red Podz for girls’ garments and the gold Podz for guys’ outfits BEFORE the submission period ends on Wednesday, October 28th

Leading up the Halloween, there have been quite a lot of spooky, scary surprises – and costumes galore. What will you dress up as for a the big All-Hallows Eve bash next week?

In a month full of contests, this week saw the beginning of the biggest battle thus far: Ghoul-o-ween! A centuries-long battle between mischievous goblins, wise mummies, fabulous vampires and fearsome Franks for the control of Cortoza has now dragged us all into the fray, with all you Woozens able to join one monstrous team and decide who stays, and who crumbles away :O Which ghoul has your support?

Contest Winners

Three major Halloween-themed contests ended last week. On Thursday, JayWooz and JennyWooz hosted a Cemetery Party to celebrate their team’s victory after a weeklong contest between ghosts and zombiz. Good job saving your fellow phantoms, ghost team!

The very next day, MyaWooz and MaxWooz visited the mysterious hallways and fright-filled rooms of Woozworld’s new Haunted House, created by chichick, Napouli, PeaceTeam, PeanutKiss, and XxBabyMama. Congrats to these ladies, and a big thanks to everyone that submitted spooky, scary, creepy, crawly, linked-up Unitz! As Jay said when reached for comment, “We were super impressed by everyone’s designing skillz. Look out for more group iDesignz contests coming up!” (You heard it here first, folks!)

Last but not least in the world of Halloween competitions, we have some very spooky storytellers in Woozworld! Read their work in this CreepyPazta post.

At the Star of the Week show on Saturday, Mya asked contestants to spook the crowd with their favorite Halloween costume. “BruceCadeZ totally challenged our preconceived notions of what makes a good Halloween costume,” gushed Woozworld’s lead fashionista when reached for comment. “Pastel pink wouldn’t have been my first thought when asked for a scary costume color, but he totally made it work! I mean, you can’t go wrong with a cape for Halloween. It instantly adds drama to any outfit! And the mask finished things off with just the right hint of menace.” Great job, Bruce!

This week, JennyWooz announced two winners for her Ghosts vs. Zombiz Video Challenge! While ghosts may have won the overall contest, zombiz certainly dominated the box office this week.
– xElliot told the story of a doctor’s experiment gone horribly wrong
– red742 spooked us with a creepy campfire story
Last weekend, we asked you to show us your favorite Woozworld Halloween costume, for the chance to win a coveted Esqueleta face or hairstyle. We received a flood of creative, kooky, crazy costumes!

Are you wondering what Ghoul-o-ween is? Or maybe you already know? Nonetheless, GHOUL-O-WEEN is what I’ll be talking about today whether you know or don’t know about it. What is Ghoul-o-ween?: It’s an event taking place in Woozworld based on Halloween (the word is made of the words; Ghoul and Halloween combined, if you didn’t realize.) There are 4 teams you can choose from to join for this event but remember, you can only choose one.
HOW TO CHOOSE A TEAM: To choose your team, search up the name of the team you want to join in Unitz Search. Example: Mummy Ghoul HQ
HOW TO INFECT: After you’ve chosen a team (by clicking on the orange chest in the right HQ), you’ll receive a SymbZ. When you want to infect any woozens that aren’t already infected,
1. Put on your Symbz
2. Click the symbol at the bottom left and click activate. After you click activate, all non-infected woozens will turn and after 7 minutes, you can repeat.
HOW TO AVOID BEING INFECTED: There are two ways to avoid being infected (you can still be infected but not as easily)
1. Buy/go to a safehouse
To buy, go to Shopz and find any unitz with the word ‘safehouse’ in its name. If you don’t have enough wooz to buy, search up ‘safehouse’ in unit search and as long as you’re in the safehouse, you cannot be infected.
*As soon as you leave the safehouse, you can be infected by other woozens.
2. Buy a protection hairstyle (also available in Shopz.)
*As soon as you take the hairstyle off, you can be infected by other woozens.
HOW TO NEVER BE INFECTED: If you just don’t want to be infected and look normal (you might miss out on all the fun though), just buy the anti-ghoul potion from Woozworld Store for $1.99

Halloween is just around the corner, and that means major Woozworld events! We have frightfully (pun intended) good offeres in store for the Halloween selection, including Halloween costumes! My personal friend, who has decided not to be named, has given me intel on the clothes she has decided to wear. “As a cat lover, seeing a cat costume has thrilled me more than the ‘Thriller’ music video. I am undoubtedly pleased,” the anonomous kitty-freak told us. I mean, who could blame her?
We don’t just have Halloween costumes, we have Halloween decor as well. Who wants a costume when you can’t show it off at parties? Woozworld staff have it covered! Throwing parties couldn’t be easier, and it couldn’t be any more fun! As a Woozworld citizen myself, I would love to be able to attend a party wearing my fancy get-up.
And let’s not forget, when you’re wearing a cute costume, people want to click on your profile. Well guess what? You can have a Halloween WoozIn too!
With all of this horrificly perfect Halloween themed things, you are assured to have a spooktacular time here in Woozworld.

Dear Jenny,

My best friend is so upset and she won’t talk to me… What is the best way to say I’m sorry?

Saying sorry isn’t easy! The most important thing about an apology is sincerity.  Don’t say you’re sorry if you don’t really mean it. When you apologize, you need to do so because you feel genuinely sorry!

You can start by asking your friend some questions about why she feels the way she does and what would make her feel better. Be sure to listen to her response, and consider how your behavior affected her. Then, let your friend know you’re not going to let it happen again. Explain to her what you might do differently to avoid doing the same thing in the future. It takes courage to step up and admit what you did was wrong.

Hopefully, your best friend will accept your apology. Sometimes a heartfelt “I’m sorry” fixes everything right away. But don’t be discouraged or sad if it doesn’t happen instantly. Sometimes an apology might not be enough to make everything all better again. Some people are quick to forgive; others may have to think about what you said and need time to get over hurt feelings and sadness. Move forward and take the time to forgive yourself too! Mending the situation is way more important then replaying it in your head.

Keep in mind that we can always learn from our mistakes!

Your fellow Wooz Vampires, Goblins, Mummies and Franks shared their own true (well… mostly true) life stories. And, who knew ghouls could write so well? These stories are sure to make you gasp, laugh or, at the very least, make you a little more comfortable in your own ghoulish skin.

So, what are you scared of? Go ahead, give them a read!

Story 1: “The Monster Inside” by Resolute

I felt my stitches as I woke up to my mother’s synthetic grin; her sharp teeth showed through her fake smile. I saw the fear in her eyes as she said, “It’s okay.”

It’s not okay and never will be. It hurt that she knew but could not say: I was a monster. I was scared of myself. I could not manage to hear my own voice through the awful screams inside me. It’s been about a week since my little brother and I died in a car crash. Here we were: Alive. I was not waking up as me but as Frankenstein’s Monster. I could not look in the mirror this morning without clenching my fists, my nails carving small crescent moon shapes in my palm to stop the tears. I was scary. I didn’t see myself, I saw him. I remembered what the doctor had said, “You are a new person.” I shivered at the thought of his voice, “new person.” It echoed in my mind. I was still me, but trapped inside my brother’s body. I had gone through the surgery that brought my brother and I back to life, but it was my soul in his body. I was on my own. I saw one of my deep blue eyes; my mother once said they made me beautiful. Now, they looked ugly. I was a monster. I walked out of my room to see my father sitting at the kitchen table; he was a vampire just like my mother. I wondered if maybe my brother could see this and what he was feeling with me in his body. I stepped outside to find the Cortoza dirt just as cold as I remembered. Apples rolled up in front of our porch, and further up, I could see a wooden basket knocked over. Above it stood one of our neighbors, screaming, “Monster!” She ran away. For hours I could not move. I heard her screams echoing inside me. I could not bear this anymore, living like this. I ran until I tripped over my own fate. In front of me, stood the Frank HQ; “Monster” was written in graffiti all over the building. I remember throwing rocks at it with all my friends. Oh the irony… Throwing rocks at myself. Maybe this was where I belonged… With all the other monsters.

Story 2: “Late Night Bite” by xElliot

It’s finally nighttime; the time where all the creatures of the night come out and play. I slowly creak open my coffin and jump out. It’s Halloween, my favorite time of the year. I can’t wait any longer so I transform into a bat and I fly out the upstairs window. Time to get the night started. Tonight is gonna be a good night. I feel that there’s plenty fresh of blood to settle my ever-growing hunger. I feel the wind against my leathery wings as I soar to the center of Ghoul-O-Ween Town. Tonight’s the busiest night of the year and I am quite hungry. Sleeping in a coffin all day surely builds up an appetite. I swoop down into the center of town and it’s already packed. After a puff of smoke I’m back in my human form. I see a familiar sight as I glance over the large crowd. I see the old hermit Frank Steiner. Perfect. His electrifying blood is shockingly energizing (see what I did there? c;). As I stalk towards him, hiding in the shadows of the night, he becomes alert and starts glaring around with his golden eye. It’s said his eye can see even the slightest movements. If I set him into a panic, I will have to engage in battle. I will stop at nothing to have some of his electrifying blood, so I accept the risk. I race towards another shadow only a few feet away from him. I feel the eye all over me. He makes a grunt and sends out a bolt of electricity towards me. I quickly transform into a bat and swoop above it. He moves into a battle stance. He may be stronger, but I am faster. I swoop down right on top of him before he has a chance to react. A small cloud of smoke appears and the next thing he knows my fangs are deep into his neck. He quickly collapses and I fall right on top. He shouldn’t have fainted so quickly. Maybe I took too much blood? I hear a low rumbling sound, so I quickly jump up and back away. His body slowly crumbles to dust. Whoops. I wipe the blood from my fangs and dash back into the darkness. Now, who’s next?

Story 3: “It’s A Goblin’s Life For Me” by JollyR

Hi there, the name’s JollyG, as in JollyGoblin. It’s a hard-knock life being a goblin. People are always dumping trash on you and whatnot. But, I’ve gotten used to it after 500 years… Good Old Wooz wasn’t always an old, sour figure… Now, time to tell you all about ME, where the attention is supposed to be… Every morning, before people wake up, I eat a kid… No, not a child, a kid! A goat kid! Then, I brush and shower in the nearest sewage pipe… I sit down and stare at people until they get super awkward. This was my normal routine, until one night when it ALL changed.. I was getting ready to close my sleepy, rock hard cold eyes when I heard a sharp bang. I looked below be onlyl to see that Freddy Fasgoblin was being knocked down. But by whom?

”WHO DARES DISTURB ME?!” I yelled.

Whoever was knocking old Fred down must have been some kind of robot because he never even took a second glance. He took Freddy down, put him in a truck and drove away. I used my super lightning powers to zap the van and six robots jumped out! Luckily I had lava vision so they all got burnt harder than goblins who dissed me in goblin school. I saved Freddy and we became best friends, watching people and whatnot. So, at night I fight crime and in the day I make people feel weird! I guess I really do have the best of both worlds!

Story 4: “What’s A Ghoul To Do?” by -AshionStar-

I woke up and saw toilet tissues all over my bed and hair… What happened? Is this just a dream? When I went to look in the mirror, in horror, I saw myself as one of them… A MUMMY! This HAD to be a nightmare… A totally ghoul-ious NIGHTMARE. I went to school and everyone stared at me… They thought I had a bad hair day and that I put too much makeup on my face to look scary for Halloween. My teachers were also dressed up as mummies… So I hung with them to blend in a bit (oops, teacher’s pet alert!). All day my thought was to go on Woozworld and finally be normal… After all that, I got home and went on Woozworld… And found out that I’M ALSO A GHOUL ON WOOZWORLD. What is life? Pfffft. xD

Story 5: “School SUCKS” by TrinityEadie

“Uggghhh! School.” I hissed, sitting up in my coffin. I hit my screeching bat alarm clock. I stretched, showing off my fangs. I was tired out. Last night had been amazing. I had killed four humans and sucked every drop of oozing blood from their bodies, but then I felt bad so I turned them into vampires so they could live on. The taste of delicious blood still flooded my mouth. I went to the bathroom. There were no mirrors; they are a weakness to us vampires. A reflection of sunlight. I grabbed my Midnight Black lipstick and applied it blindly onto my lips. Then I put on black and red eye shadow. We aren’t allowed make-up at school, but who cares? I’m a vampire. They could give me detention, but what do I care? I’d just skip it. And if I did end up in it, I could turn invisible and just creep out. Or I could pull pranks on the teacher and draw stuff on her face while she sleeps. That’s what I call FUN. Not blood-sucking fun, but still entertaining.  It’s the best when she wakes up and rubs her eyes, smearing the PERMANENT marker everywhere. She doesn’t even realise what’s happened to her. I went outside, carrying my black-and-red lace umbrella to protect me from sunlight. What? I need to protect my skin. Soon, I arrived at school. All the kids laugh at me and call me ‘Batty’ or ‘Miss Barf-pire.’ Both names were made up by my MORTAL ENEMY, Margot Stetson. She thinks she’s sooo clever but they don’t even make any sense. I carry on throughout my classes and then the school day ends. I head around to the back of the school building before turning into a bat and flying away. Of course I could just snap my fingers and teleport, but a vampire needs exercise, right? Then, I went out hunting. I’d sharpened my fangs that morning. I was flying over the cityscape in my bat form when I saw a great target point: a rooftop party! I swooped in for the kill….

Story 6: “Cursed by the Queen” by flabin

Well, it was just a normal, quiet sunny day, when all of a sudden, I heard a noise…

“A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!” shouted my brother.

“OH NO!” exclaimed my family.

I knew there was no such thing as a ‘zombie apocalypse’. It’s just made up, so that’s what I told my family.

“Oh yeah, why are we acting silly?” said my mum.

The whole of my family agreed.

It was getting dark, so I decided to go to bed. Little did I know, there was something, or someone, in my bedroom… I was just opening my wardrobe when…

“BOOOOOO, AHHHHH, SWISH, SWASH!” shouted a mummy. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” I screamed.

It was a real life mummy! I thought it was a dream. I picked up my blanket from my bed. There I saw, the one and only, Cleopatra!

“Oh…my mummies, it’s the real Cleopatra!” I yelled.

She came out wiping her beautiful, elegant gown.

“Oh what a damp room! I’m in such a damp state.” she said, “YOU! I’M GOING TO CURSE YOU FOR THIS!”

So she got out a wand… And then turned me into a mummy!

“Ahhhh, turn me back, please Queen, I will do anything!” I yelled.

But, she left with her mummy guard, leaving me a note. The note said: ”You’ll need to buy the potion to uncurse you. If you don’t, then you’ll have to cope! AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS WILL TURN INTO HORRIBLE MONSTERS! You MIGHT be uncursed by the 2nd of November… Until then. See you next time.”

Story 7: “A Moment To Never Be Forgotten” by Lilswaggerificyqe

It was a rainy stormy day around 8pm and my parents had to go shopping to buy  supplies for my birthday party the next day, leaving me home alone. While they were at the store, I decided to tidy up the house. After cleaning the front room, I noticed a door that I had never seen before. So I decided to take a look inside. The room sucked me in! When I stood up I realized that I was in a whole new dimension by the name of Vampsville. Unlike regular kids, I wasn’t scared because I enjoyed watching vampire movies and shows and knew everything about them. I decided to take a  glance around the town. All of a sudden, I heard someone scream for help. I followed the sound. When I arrived, there was a nest of vampires about to suck a girl’s blood dry. I told them to leave her alone. They laughed at me and told me that they would enjoy drinking my blood, too, and tried to attack me. There were no wooden stakes in the area so I didn’t know what to do. All of a sudden, I felt a serious pain in my mouth. Then, I realized that I had fangs. I didn’t have time to question them and I already knew everything about vampires, so learning my powers was very easy. When the vampires approached me, I began to attack them all until they were knocked out. I then saved the girl and, using my super speed, I ran back to the door I came through. When  my parents came home I told them what had happened and they told me that my 16th birthday was the day when I would become a vampire because the whole family was vampires. They told me that they wanted to surprise me with the news, but I learned it myself when I was in the dimension. I then laughed with them about the news they gave me. A few years later, I married the girl I saved. I turned her into a vampire, just like me, and we lived together forever (and we actually did live forever because vampires live eternally). THE END.

Vampires, Goblins, Mummies and Franks have been roaming around, transforming Woozens by the dozens and attending ghoulish games and events. Which ghoul gang do you think is going to win big? This week, MyaWooz asked Star of the Week contestants to represent their ghoul team in style. “I was sure the Vampires would take the top prize this week!” Woozworld’s style queen exclaimed when reached for comment. “After all, we are the most fashionable of the ghoul clans. But then Dainty waltzed in wearing this distressed plaid dress, matching heels, and dolloween grin. I always thought Franks were the saddest ghoul, but her jaunty little top hat and perky ponytail proved otherwise. A star is stitched!”

This week, the Woozband held a Ghoul-O-Ween-themed video contest and, let me tell you, there were some ahhhh-mazing entries. The entries were so great, in fact, that it was hard to choose just these three winners! Congratulations to Phoxebe for her fang-tastic video about the perks of being a Vampire, to IzzyW for her Mummy talkshow and to ArianaGrrande, Clap, CuteOwli, and Sophiamax for their spooky Vampire video. Boo-tiful work, Woozens!

JUST IN!! BREAKING NEWS! Some members of the Woozworld community are upset due to their faces changing into a vampire, mummy, goblin, and frankenstein. I asked a few Woozens how they felt this and is what they said:

“I want my face changed. I don’t know why it is like this.”

“Will my face be like this forever?”

These woozens seem upset and I am not sure how they will respond if their faces keep changing.

A Tasty Halloween Treat! by BrendanCx

Hello Woozens, I have been baking so much for Halloween. It’s crazy! These were so yummy! Back to where I was, I would like to share a yummy cookie with you. You will need parent supervision for this, so don’t do this unless you have a parent or gaurdian with you.

HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN CHIP COOKIES
1 cup pumpkin
1 egg
1/2 cup any kind vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup white chocolate or butterscotch chips
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 370°F.
Note: If using butterscotch chips, try using butter rum extract or butterscotch schnapps instead of the vanilla for extra flavor.

Blend pumpkin, egg, oil and sugar. Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt; gradually add to first mixture. Dissolve the baking soda in milk and add to batter. Stir in chocolate (or butterscotch) chips, nuts and vanilla.

Drop by the teaspoonful onto lightly greased baking sheets.

Bake at 370°F degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Recipe can be doubled.

Bake and freeze the extra cookies.

Let’s get real. Bullying is a topic that is visited often, maybe even too often. But, it’s also a topic that will probably never go away. As long as there is discrimination in the world, there will be bullies. Everywhere.
The definition of a bully is a person who uses strength or power to harm or intimidate those who are weaker. But, honestly, I don’t think there is anyone in the world who is weaker than you or me, or anybody. To me , bullies are people who have their own personal issues, and who take out their anger or frustration of thouse issues on someone else.
It’s completely unfair. Just because you’re having a bad day doesn’t mean you should pick on the new kid, who might just be dealing with issues of their own. It’s not fair for you to hurt someone just because you’ve been hurt. From now on look at life with a new perspective.
That girl, who you picked on for not having designer clothes, she just may be getting picked on by someone close to her, someone who should cherish her.
That boy, the one you laughed at for his strange haircut, he may be being verbally abused by a family member at home.
You CAN’T judge a book by it’s cover, because you don’t know the depth of the chapters.

Ollie93 and CosmicThunder weren’t always the adorable couple you see before you; when they met in March 2013, they didn’t even like one another! Ollie does admit, however, that he “did kind of have a little crush on Cossy.” They reconnected, as friends this time, in October 2014 when they met through a mutual friend. It wouldn’t be until November 2014 that sparks really started to fly for this power couple! They grew close during Woozworld’s Next Top Model and, by the end of the month, they were official.

These days, these two can almost always be found at Star of the Week, as MyaWooz is their favourite animator. “She’s a bae,” says Ollie. They also love taking selfies and sometimes watch movies together. The cutest part, though? Cosmic’s nickname for Ollie is Dino while Ollie’s nickname for Cosmic is Panda. How very sweet!

SierraTooCool and Itching (who, I have on good authority, prefers to be called David) are one of Woozworld‘s most visible couples. This wasn’t always the case though. The couple met on WoozIn when David bravely sent Sierra a friend request. Never one to shy away from making new friends, Sierra accepted and soon found a message from David in her inbox in which he introduced himself. This, Sierra says, set him apart from others. “At first, I thought he was pranking me with this ‘good boy status,'” she gushes, “but then me and him actually connected.” The couple became official eight months ago and the rest is Woozworld history!

This power couple attends tons of events together, with a special focus on JayWooz‘s events. They also never miss MyaWooz‘s Star of the Week as Mya is a good friend of the couple. In fact, she even attended their wedding! Talk about high-profile! “It gives me great joy to be his girlfriend/wife,” says Sierra, “I don’t know what would’ve happened if I never met the crazy, itchy-armed David.”

And there you have it, Woozens! A true Woozworld love story.

Contest Winners

As a final farewell to Halloween month, Saturday’s Star of the Week show saw Woozens dressed in orange and black costumes. “There were so many amazing costumes on display!” remarked MyaWooz, Star of the Week’s lead fashionista, when reached for comment. “I love seeing Woozens out of their normal color codes too. It really helps shake things up in the fashion world. Speaking of shaking, xElliot‘s weeping ghost pirate-prince had me quaking with both fear and awe!”

To say goodbye to Halloween and to honour Woozworld’s friendliest ghost, ShamWooz, JayWooz held a spooky iDesignz Unitz contest! “It was mad hard to choose the winners,” Jay said of the contest. “All the submissions were on point!” Though it was a hard decision, isthereloveleft‘s creepy treasure cave came in 3rd place, sheedaisthebest‘s glamorously spooky living room came in 2nd place and DashinDylan‘s terrifying village came in 1st place. Well done, Woozens!

GHOSTS IN WOOZWORLD!?! by Youless
This just in! There are rumours going around Woozworld about ghosts! Yes, that’s right; ghosts! We have been showed pictures of Woozworld players playing Woozworld and seeing strange, green creatures floating around, then disapearing. Some people even say furniture moves too! Is it true? You will have to check yourself!
 
Baking Break: Chocolate Chip Cookies by mayab322
As the baker I am, I’ve always been coming up with new recipes to share with my family over the holidays. My chocolate chip cookie recipe is a hit with my family, and if you make them they’re sure to be a hit with yours too! Remember to have an adult with you to put the cookies in the oven.
Ingredients (makes 3 dozen cookies):
– 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter
– 2 1/2 cups flour
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup sugar
– 3/4 brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
– Preheat the oven to 350°F to get yourself started.
– Make sure to mix flour, salt and baking soda in a seprate bowl.
– Also let the butter presoften for an hour (or just microwave it for 15 seconds)
– Mix dry ingredients (flour, salt and baking soda) in a small bowl
– Put wet ingredients into large bowl
– Mix wet ingredients and slowly add the dry ingredients as you go
– Bake in oven for 11 minutes.

November can sometimes seem a little boring, especially after all the excitement of Halloween. The weather is colder, the days are shorter and there aren’t really any excuses to dress up in costume. But, did you know that November is actually known as National Novel Writing Month? Starting at 12:00AM on November 1st, writers around the world challenge themselves to finish a novel by 11:59PM on November 30th. Sounds pretty daunting, huh?

Woozworld has decided to get in on the fun by asking you, our beloved Woozens, to help us write a story. Don’t worry, you don’t need to submit a whole novel to help out! We want  you to submit 3-5 sentences of a story each day, starting today. You’ll have the whole weekend to perfect your sentences! On Monday, we will choose our favourite sentences and they will be added to our story. You can submit your sentences in the red Podz in Central Plaza. Even if your sentences don’t get picked on Monday, your sentences may be picked on Tuesday… Or Wednesday… Or Thursday… Or Friday. So you have to keep submitting! 

Each day we will update our story, so remember to check it out so you know what to write about!

The theme of our story will be: DYZTOPIA (or dystopia)

Don’t know what a dystopia is? Don’t worry! Basically, a dystopia is an imagined society in which pretty much everything is unpleasant. Dystopias are usually run by harsh dictatorships and are usually environmentally degraded. Think of The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner or Divergent; these are all excellent examples of dystopias. You can think of these novels as examples, but make sure your sentences are 100% your own!

We can’t wait to get our story started with you!

The day is here, Woozens! We finally have the endings to our Dyztopia Stories! We think the 5th and final round winners of the Dyztopia Story Contest ended our stories on high notes and we couldn’t be more happy with the results. We hope you enjoy our stories as much as we have!

Story 1

The monotonous drone of marching footsteps filled the crisp morning air as crowds of Woozens approached. The little ray of light from the rising sun provided no warmth on the drab grey of the Woozens’ clothes and no smiles were worn on their faces. Their emotions were jaded from their time here that passed quickly by and their bright eyes shone no more and no longer twinkled with ideas and individuality. It was one of the most horrible experiences any Woozen could ever imagine: the fact that they could not be who they wanted to be and were forced to be the same as everyone else.

The expressionless faces of all of the woozens in the sector looked like a sea of grey. Every day was the same routine; at 6 A.M. they were to arrive in the plaza to receive their daily tasks which must be completed before sunset. The daily tasks were how the leaders kept the sector running. Some woozens would run the nearly deserted shops, some would keep the grey walls of the sector clean, some would be called to serve the leaders, while others would do other various, but yet just as unpleasant, tasks. Staying at home or not doing your tasks wasn’t an option; if you were caught you would be severely punished.

Each Woozen was obliged to leave their daily tasks at 6 P.M. on the dot. Then, each would go to their Unitz, have dinner, talk about their day and go off to bed. They would repeat the same mundane cycle each day of their lives. A female Woozen, who appeared to be 18 years or so, woke up one day and followed her fundamental routine until the clock struck 6 P.M. Normally everyone would leave, but today something urged her to stay past the curfew.

She wasn’t sure what indoctrinated her to stay behind; the expense of her crime would no doubt be ghastly. As she watched the Woozens file out of their hovels in neat lines of dull gray and black, she heard something, or someone, move behind her. She gasped as she made the figure out to be none other than Jaywooz, but it couldn’t be; hadn’t the woozband been extinguished just 8 years ago? Jay began to beckon to her while moving towards the hovel’s back door. Taking her shoes with her, the unknown Woozen followed him.

She followed him down a long rusty ladder and what she saw next chilled her to the bone. Jay had led her to a secrect hidout, but what was more chilling was seeing MyaWooz, JennyWooz and MaxWooz all hiding together. So many questions filled her mind, but as she took a step closer she noticed a window so she walked to the window and saw that below there was a city. The Woozband had been running a secret military to help defeat the evil rulers of Woozworld! Now that this unknown Woozen knew about the secret military and the Woozband, she would spread the word and slowly regain hope for her sector.

Story 2

Pit pat pit pat pit pat; the sound of bare feet running through the city could be heard. A young girl around the age of ten was going to her family unit. She was dressed in rags, with her long dark hair blowing in the breeze and her green eyes shining brightly. The world as she knew it ended five years ago, when THEY took the lives of her family members. Little did she know, she would soon be the reason that the humans would regain the world that was stolen from them.

Suddenly, she glanced behind her, but she only saw darkness.

“JUST RUN!” someone around her shouted, so she did run, not knowing what lurked behind her in the dark. The girl was confused; she thought she had been alone. She glanced around once more and saw a boy who must have been five or so years older than she was.

“Just run! They’re gaining!” he said.

She ran faster not knowing the dangers lurking ahead. She was told not to look back, but she did anyway. The creatures were terrifying but she recognized them; they were the ones who took her parents! She ran and ran and then she knew that there was only one option. That option was to fight.

The girl turned around to stare at her surroundings and soon spotted a large tree with branches sharp as knives. As the boy began to catch up to her, he screamed, “Why are you just standing there?!”

She gave him a strong look before breaking off the tree branch and as she stood there in silence the creatures were sprinting quickly.

“HURRY UP AND MOVE! RUN AND DON’T LOOK BACK- QUICKLY!” he screamed louder as the creatures began to edge towards her.

Finally, before a creature took out its long claws, she attacked.

She used the broken tree branch to defend herself; fighting the creatures one by one. The boy got a branch for himself and helped her by fighting off the creatures too.

“Behind you!” he yelled, ducking from a creature who tried to sneak up on him.

“Do you think it’s over?” she asked the boy, watching the creatures slowly decease as they lay there motionless.

“I hope so…” was all he said and they walked off into the murky night.

Last year, Woozens competed in photo challenges, and searched for hairstylists, makeup artists, and, of course, your dedicated reporter, in an effort to gain FanZ and earn the title of Woozworld’s Next Top Model! And it’s easy to see why the competition was so fierce: not only does the winner recieve free clothes, Wooz, and publicity, but the Top Model also serves as MyaWooz’s personal fashion assistant and muse! And now, a source close to Woozworld’s fashion queen has revealed that Mya is on the hunt for a new Top Model to inspire her…

“Mya had so much fun with the Woozworld’s Next Top Model search last year, she wants to bring it back even bigger and better,” says our anonymous source. “We’re BESTIES, so she’s told me ALL the details while we were hanging out at Max’s cactus farm. But I really shouldn’t give any more deets, or Mya will really slayyyyyyyy!”

Need more proof?? Mya may not have confirmed WNTM’s return when we called for comment, but check out this photo she herself posted on Wednesday, with the enimgatic caption “Who says you can’t wear sneakers with a fancy dress? … This photo may contain a little hint of eventz to come…“

Yes indeed, folks! That’s clearly the WNTM Runway Unitz! (No one can confirm seeing Mya there on Wednesday, but she is known to be a sneaky one when it comes to stylish pics!) That can only mean one thing:

WNTM 2 IS ON ITS WAY!

Now, the real question is, who will rise to the top of this year’s modeling crop??

You have no doubt seen isabellaswagaga around Woozworld; perhaps at JayWooz‘s Freestyle Cafe or at one of MyaWooz‘s many stylish events. But have you seen her boyfriend LiL-Nic? Maybe not. Nic is more elusive, more mysterious than the high-profile Isabella and, perhaps, this is what attracted her to him. The two met three years ago in a cave while Nic was in a dinosaur suit and they hit it off right away, talking for two hours. The next day, Isabella found a message from Nic asking her to be his one and only and, of course, she said yes. They’ve been enjoying each other’s company ever since, except for one minor blip. “We’ve only fought once in the 3 years we’ve been together and we actually broke up,” recounts Isabella, “But then we realized we couldn’t be without each other.” How sweet.

These days, you can find this darling duo hanging out in various Unitz taking adorable pics and chilling with their friends. Nic tends to spoil his main squeeze, spending all of his Wooz on her. Now that’s what I call love.

Dear Jenny,

I am super shy and very self consious of myself. Being shy makes me lose out on a lot of good oppurtunities in life and making new friends. Do you have any advice on how to boost my confidence? Thanks.

It’s often hard to feel 100% confidant in your own skin, especially for adolescents. Everyone has times in their life when they feel shy or self-conscious. There is no magical cure for shyness as it affects us all in different ways, but I can certainly give you some tips on how to try to move past it!

• Do something out of your comfort zone! I know it sounds scary, but it doesn’t have to be. If there’s a club or team you’ve thought about joining, but always felt too intimidated to join, ask a good friend to join with you. Not only will it be a way to strengthen your friendship, but you will meet other likeminded individuals too!
• Practice! It might sound a little silly, but if there’s something you’re really shy or nervous about (like making an important phone call or approaching a classmate) practice what you will say beforehand. You can write it down or say it in front of a mirror. Having a plan of attack will give you more confidence. And don’t worry if you go off script a little; it’s bound to happen!
• Don’t stress! I know it’s easier said than done, but if you tend to get stressed or anxious about social situations, try to do something that relaxes you first, like a taking a bath, reading a chapter of a great book or going for a stroll outside. Give your brain some time to unwind and think about the situation clearly. Often, just playing the situation out in your head in a clear and relaxed way will allow you to see that it is not as bad as you initially thought.
• Focus on you! Shyness and self-consciousness go hand-in-hand. Think about the things you like about yourself and about the things that others like about you (if you’re up to it, you can ask your family and close friends for help with this). Self-consciousness often develops because we focus too much on negativity. When you start to focus on positive aspects of yourself, the negative ones seem smaller. I find writing it all down helps. If you write down a few positive thoughts about yourself each day, a positive attitude will come easier to you. You can also think of a little mantra to say (or write) to yourself each day, such as “Each day I am getting better in every way,” “I love myself unconditionally,” or “I accept and embrace my flaws because I know that nobody is perfect.” Just as it takes time to develop relationships with others, it may take you time to develop a positive and loving relationship with yourself.

Remember: shyness and self-consciousness cannot be cured overnight. It takes hard work and lots of time to overcome them. Also, never feel as though you are going through it alone. Shyness and self-consciousness are very normal parts of growing up; everyone goes through these issues to some degree or other. Talk to your friends or family if you feel especially overwhelmed and you’ll soon learn just how normal it is!

I hope that these tips will help you break out of your shell because you’re so worth it! :3
