Woozworld’s Next Superstar: Meet Myan Zalik

Today, we’re very lucky to be sitting down with the very charming, very talented… Indiz label’s own, Myan Zalik!
LilyWooz: Hello Myan! We’re so, so, so happy to have you here today! Are you ready for WNS 2016? Not too much pressure on you?
Myan Zalik: Hey Lily! Yeah, everything has been going well so far and I am so ready for WNS! I’ve already had the privilege of meeting quite a few fans, so that’s been great… Being able to meet them face-to-face has really helped take a lot of the pressure off!
L: Wow, you are truly so caring! Tell us more about yourself… Why did you choose IndiZ? With your popularity, it seems like Diamond in the Wooz would be a great fit for you too, no?
M: Yeah, for sure, I could have chosen to go with the brightest, shiniest label, but… I wanted to really take my time writing my songs and really be a part of the whole artist experience. And IndiZ is perfect for that! Jenny has really created the perfect space to nurture her talent and allow us to express ourselves emotionally. That’s really important to me.
L: You’re so… inspiring. You often give a really positive message to your fans. Will we be seeing more of this positive attitude during WNS?
M: Of course! Everyone deserves to be empowered in one way or another. We all have value and we should all be showing our value through our actions. I think it’s so important to help others through volunteer work. That’s why I build animal shelters… Actually, that’s how I met Jenny!
L: Cool! You two seem to be very like-minded. When it comes to your personal style… Woozens have told me that they love how your look is at once a bit rebellious, yet stylish and elegant. How do you choose your clothes?
M: Hahaha! Wow, I don’t consider myself a fashion icon or anything, but if Woozens are asking about it, I suppose I can let some of my secrets slip! I look for natural materials, like cotton, linen or leather… I’m not a fan of synthetics. I think more of us should just go back to basics… Really get in touch nature, you know? I usually keep my colours pretty neutral and natural, too. I don’t like to be super flashy… I prefer to let my music speak for itself. I’m really just a jeans and sweater kinda guy, as long as they’re cut well and fit well.
L: Thanks for your answer! Woozens will be very happy. I know you like making others happy… It’s evident in your generosity… Speaking of your generosity, there are rumours that your kind, generous, giving nature is all just marketing to get more fans. What do you have to say about this?
M: -Sighs- It’s sad that we live in a world where we can’t do good for others without be suspected of hypocrisy. These people making up these lies obviously have very active imaginations; they could be using them for good instead of trying to tear someone down. That’s the real tragedy here.
